Cherry Hinton now has an environmental action group. Green Action Cherry Hinton has been established with two broad aims. These are:
1) To help residents reduce their carbon footprint
2) To support residents in increasing biodiversity in the area.
We aim to work with local residents, groups and businesses to help us achieve these aims. By way of example, our first project is a blister pack recycling scheme in conjunction with Cherry Hinton Pharmacy at 39a High Street. Please take your empty pill packets to the pharmacy for recycling.
Of course, what we can achieve will be determined by the number of members we have. We have ambitious plans for growth but we need the active support of local people for this vital and urgent scheme.
